The ATTA is a subject association for High School and Intermediate School teachers of Workshop Craft, Graphics, and Design Technology. ATTA has been established for approximately 45 years. |
Primary objectives of ATTA include promotion of our subject areas and the sharing of knowledge and expertise among teachers and students. Co-operation between schools and industry is actively encouraged. We represent the views of technology teachers to the Minister of Education, The Education department, The National Qualifications Authority and the Post Primary Teachers Association. |
Teachers of Technology, mainly in greater Auckland covering the geographic area from Wellsford in the North to Waiuku in the South. |
ATTA endeavour to provide regular opportunities for professional development by way of meetings, speakers, visits to industry and updating of our subject knowledge. ATTA run a number of competitions for technology students each year, culminating in a major awards ceremony. These awards are to recognise and encourage the pursuit of excellence by the students in our subject areas. |
By being financial members of ATTA and attending and participating in the activities. All members are elegible to be elected to the executive committee and take an active roll in the running of the association. |

Subscriptions are as follows: Individual member - $35 per year or Corporate membership - $100 per year for all members of a Technology department. Nearly all members join by way of a corporate membership, paid through their schools professional development fund. |
